ANTARCTICA
Jeanne Roppolo is a Chicago-born grandmother, who traveled 22,000 miles to clean floors in Antarctica for the National Science Foundation. When asked, “WHY?” she went to the coldest, driest, windiest, and most barren place on earth; Jeanne always responds, “Why not?”This is the true story of a 57-year-old grandmother who was stationed in Antarctica for five months as a contract worker for the National Science Foundation (NSF).
